How to redeem a gift card code

A gift card code turns into balance within seconds once it goes into the right place. Here are the steps for the platforms people use most. Steam Open the Steam client, use the "Games" menu at the top, then "Activate a Product on Steam" — or, for wallet codes, "Redeem a Steam Wallet Code". Type the code without spaces. Google Play In the Play Store app, tap your profile icon at the top right, then "Payments and subscriptions", then "Redeem code". You can type the code or scan it with the camera. It points to one of three things: - A region mismatch. A code bought for one country is not accepted on an account registered in another. Check your account region. - The wrong platform. Codes can look alike, but a Steam code will not work on Xbox and a Google Play code will not work in the App Store. - A typo. Codes contain characters that look alike: zero and the letter O, one and the letter I. Copy and paste instead of typing by hand. If all three check out, open your order and create a support request.
